Narrative Writing

This term we are learning to write a narrative story.

Below are some narratives some students in Hoiho have written.

Puss In Boots

In Mexico a ginger cat drifted through the wind in a crate.  The cat had no Mum or Dad. He drifted into a town that had houses and crashed in to a door, there was a sign on it that said "Orphanage".  A woman standing at the door picked the cat up and looked at him and named him Puss.

Soon he became a hero and he got boots.  Then his name was called not Puss but it was Puss in Boots.  Puss in Boots wanted to do more for the town.  Puss zoomed to a house that had Jack in it.  Who had the Magic Beans! Puss in Boots dashed to a paddock that had dry grass.  Puss digged 6cm into the ground.  The beans grew and Puss shot up into the sky.  Puss stoped the beans from growing.  He jumped on a cloud which took him to the Golden Goose.

Puss fled to the bean stalk and got a leaf and quickly made a parashoot.  He jumped.  Soon he reached the town and he shouted "Gold"

The town and him were happy forever.  Puss became a legend that will be past on and on

The Three Little Pigs

Once upon a time there were 3 little pigs.  Each of them was allowed to build their own house.  One of the pigs built their house out of hay.  The other little pig made his house out of twigs.  The last little pig made his house out of brick.  One day the first little pig heard a voice at his door.  "Hello little pig let me come in or I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down. "

"No!" yelled the pig.

"Then I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down"

The pigs house got blown down but he ran to his brothers house.  The Wolf said "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down"

But they ran to their brother's house.  The Wolf tried to blow the house down but he couldn't.  So he climbed up onto the roof and went down the chimney and fell in a pot of boiling water.

Report Writing

Skateboards

A skateboard is a narrow board with wheels at each corner.

Skateboards have been around since 1950's.

But they started in 1930s.

In 1972 Ollie created "kick flip".

Skateboarding was made for surfers if the water wasn't good.  Surfers called it street surfing.

Skateboading is an action sport that involves doing devil stunts and tricks on a skateboard.

A 2002 report found that there were 18.5 million skateboards in the world.

I think skateboarding is cool but only because I am good at it.

M.P.G

The M.G.P is a super awesome scooter designed for huge dare devil tricks.

The scooter is generally made of super strong steel, small, and skinny wheels, and rubber handle grips perfect for pro riders who love to do tricks.

The main difference between M.G.Ps and other scooters is they have rubber handle grips, welded frame, and smooth bearings and wheels.

Some riders ride up and down slopes that look like undersize B.M.X ramps, perfect for doing all sorts of tricks.

I think M.P.Gs are a super awesome sort of scooter, I got one last christmas and I've been riding it heaps ever since.
